Mythology:

Aries is located in the northern celestial hemisphere between Pisces to the west and Taurus to the east. It was originally defined in ancient texts as a specific pattern of stars, and has remained a constellation since ancient times; it now includes the ancient pattern as well as the surrounding stars. In the description of the Babylonian zodiac given in the clay tablets known as the MUL.APIN, the constellation now known as Aries was the final station along the ecliptic. The MUL.APIN was a comprehensive table of the risings and settings of stars, which likely served as an agricultural calendar.

Expression:

Aries represents the part of us that is called to action. The question is where is that action coming from. In it’s highest expression Aries will have courage, discipline and the fortitude to move forward. When operating from shadow it is driven to fear and violence.

There is an aspect of Aries which begins with desire. As we connect with what we desire in our life it is often followed by fear and anxiety around it. When we summon our courage we move forward towards our desires.
